So a few weeks ago was Homecoming Week and we started it out by "Painting the town purple" We got to go to different businesses and paint their store windows and they were judged on the best use of the theme "Purple Reign." Anna, Maranda, Troy and I did a play on words and went for "Purple Rain." We haven't heard back about any prizes yet, so I guess they didn't like the play on words, but we had a lot of fun painting it. Anna and Maranda both have a lot of artistic talent and Troy and I were left coloring in whatever they drew!
Guess who's a Wildcat?!?!?!? That's right Brian Jankowski! I ran into him at a volleyball game and we cheered together for the Purple and White. He is playing for the Weber State Football team (actually he's gray shirting this year, maybe he'll move up to a purple shirt next year). I talked to Ron McBride (our football coach) a few days later about Brian and he was really excited we were from the same home town and he loves IF. He also told me Brian is a great kid and a great athlete. So I guess he's a welcome addition to the Wildcats!!
Doesn't he look like Dave? It's hard to believe our younger silblings are now in college!
